Fleet Facility Tour: City of Anaheim

The Anaheim fleet recently created a formal motor pool with 26 vehicles.

The City operates approximately 30 CNG vehicles, including this Tymco sweeper.

In addition to testing out three Dodge Chargers, the City is also testing the Chevrolet Tahoe PPV for police use. The City will purchase five more of these vehicles for testing.

Fleet services on the City of Anaheim's approx. 1,200 vehicles are performed in a 47,000 sq. ft., 30-bay repair facility.

Two windows on opposite ends of the parts room are used for different services. On one side, technicians can request parts; on the other, customers can check out motor pool cars.

Parts room staff now also handle motor pool reservations.

Anaheim is also upfitting the last of its Ford Crown Victorias for police use.

The City mainains parts inventory totaling $725,000.

In addition to 70 vehicles, the police fleet also has 32 motorcycles.
