In addition to a few electric vehicles, the division has 1,595 flex-fuel vehicles, 240 compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles, and two propane-autogas vehicles. Rachel Wilson-Roussel, sustainability unit manager at Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (far left), talks about the state's EV fueling infrastructure.

Scott Edwards, fleet manager for Colorado's Division of Central Services, said the state's key hirings of three fleet managers this year are helping it build a great foundation for fleet.

Working with a geographic area of 100,000 square miles, the fleet does not have a cetnralized area to collect and maintain vehicles. Instead, it contracts out much of its fueling and repairs.
