The city recently took delivery of two Firefly electric vehicles for use in parking meter collection and maintenance.

The fleet has one main maintenance facility that also includes central storage.

The city's main fueling site dispenses diesel and unleaded gasoline.

This hydrogen generator is part of the city's testing of five first-generation Toyota Prius hydrogen prototype vehicles. The vehicles have been decomissioned and the generator recently removed, but the city is currently looking into another hydrogen vehicle testing program.

The city replaces 25 police vehicles per year based on a patrol car's four-year lifecycle. Pictured are a line of Ford Crown Victoria vehicles in the fleet.

To replace the discontinued Ford Crown Victoria police vehicles, the city is testing out both the Ford Police Interceptor and the Police Interceptor Utility Vehicle. Pictured is the Police Interceptor sedan being upfitted for field testing.

Rick Longobart, facilities, fleet, and central stores manager, joined the Santa Ana fleet in 2010.

The fleet has a total of about 80-85 Ford Crown Victoria police vehicles in service. Most are patrol vehicles.

The city fleet yard also has a fast-fill CNG fueling area. It has CNG vehicles on order, including sedans.
