C2Logix, Inc. (www.C2Logix.com) has implemented another update to its route optimization software C2RouteApp. This latest update includes new features and security measures that allow the application to assist an even broader range of customers while expanding the capability and features for its base of existing customers.  These new features were implemented with no additional cost to customers, according to the company.

New features include:

 •Avoid Areas: The ability to select specific areas to avoid during the creation of routes.  This is helpful if there are areas (such as construction) that you may want to avoid in a routing scenario. This feature allows a simple “Point and Click” on areas to be avoided.
 •Canadian Routing: C2RouteApp now can create routes into and within Canada.
 •SSL Encryption: All transmissions are encrypted.
 •Improved Geocoding Functionality: C2RouteApp now has enhanced functions in its ability to plot locations.
 •Improvements have been made to some of the reporting functions, including better maps of the created routes

Kevin Callen, C2Logix CTO said, “besides these customer facing improvements we have continued to build upon the product’s infrastructure, including speed improvements and data validation checks.”

Callen said, “We have already begun work on our next update and plan to have several more updates throughout 2012.”  While he could not comment on exactly what new features and functions we could look for in the near future, Callen did promise some exciting and exclusive features.
