Reading Truck Body’s Marauder is a steel dump body made of A60 galvannealed (a combination of galvanizing and annealing) steel designed to resist rust and corrosion.
The Marauder Dump Body features Reading’s 12-stage electro-cathodic acrylic emersion prime process and a polyester powder coat finish designed to improve durability. The understructure incorporates an interlaced long sill and cross sill design that reduces the mounting height and prevents a wash boarding effect that can be found in stacked-understructure bodies.
The body’s durability is further reinforced with features that include dual wall construction, a continuous-weld design, heavy-duty tailgate hardware, full-height front radii corner posts, a full-depth rear corner post, and an intermediate radii bolster design. It also includes LED lighting, wear points equipped with grease fittings and a tapered floor for easy clean out.
The Marauder can be installed on Class 3-5 commercial cab chassis and comes in standard-duty fixed and drop-side steel versions available in 2-4-yard capacities.
