Code 3, Inc. now offers its Z3-SWIF Ford Police Interceptor Sedan and Utility Steering Wheel Interface Module. The SWIF interface module connects to the Z3 control head allowing a technician to program each one of the four customizable auxiliary control buttons on the steering wheel to provide any needed lightbar or siren functionality.
The unit is roughly the size of a credit card and can be installed virtually anywhere in the vehicle, according to Code 3. The SWIF module also comes with two additional inputs for other remote switching capabilities.
The Z3 SWIF is designed for use only with the Z3 siren and the optional auxiliary control buttons on the Ford PI sedan (option 47K) or utility (option 61S) steering wheel. SWIF dimensions: 4.25 inches L (with mounting plate) x 2 inches W x 0.75 inches D.
