Mike Cleary

Director of Technical Training and Instructor

Mike Cleary is the Director of Technical Training and an instructor at Automotive Technical Support Services (ATSS), where he provides technician training and consulting for private businesses and fleet operations, drawing on 26 years of experience across most makes and models. He also writes diagnostic articles for industry trade magazines. Cleary holds ASE Master Technician status in both Automobile and Heavy Truck, along with additional certifications including A9, L1, L2, L3, F1, EV1, and EV2, and is a State of California Licensed Advanced Emissions Specialist.

While at a Ford dealership, Cleary became an eight-time award-winning Ford Motor Company Certified Senior Master Technician, specializing in Powerstroke diesel engines, hybrids and EVs, and CVT transmissions. He was selected to serve on two Ford Technician Advisory Boards, consulting with Ford Engineering on vehicle serviceability, service publications, parts distribution and availability, future product planning, and technician training, retention, and recruitment.
