Three municipalities across the United States have entered into leasing agreements with Enterprise Fleet Management. The partnerships with the cities of Bunnell, Fla.; Hearne, Texas; and Mexia, Texas, will enable them to improve fleet performance, upgrade aging fleets, and reduce ownership costs, according to Enterprise.

Enterprise will supply 18 new vehicles — from police cruisers and medium-duty crane trucks to SUVs and half-ton pickup trucks — to the City of Bunnell. The partnership, which is projected to save the city more than $90,000 over the next eight years, has the potential to increase to 34 vehicles. Previously, the city had an aging fleet with high operating costs.

The City of Hearne will be leasing five vehicles and City of Mexia will lease seven. The Hearne program has the potential to grow to 30 vehicles, while the Mexia partnership has a potential of up to 36 vehicles.

The leasing programs are expected to help fleet operations achieve cost savings through improved fuel efficiency and decreased maintenance needs. In addition, they allow government agencies to reallocate resources in order to focus on their core work of serving their communities.
