Braun Passenger Vans: Insufficient Number of Emergency Exits

Braun is recalling certain 2023-2024 Ram Promaster 11-passenger vans. The vehicles may not have a sufficient number of emergency exits. 

Dealers will replace the driver-side window with an emergency exit window, free of charge. Owner notification letters were expected to be mailed Aug. 20, 2024.

Daimler Trucks: Loss of Steering Control from Tie Rod Failure

Daimler Trucks North America is recalling certain 2025 Freightliner 108SD, 114SD, Business Class M2, Cascadia and Western Star 47X trucks. The tie rod in the front axle may contain ball studs that have been incorrectly heat-treated, which can cause them to break, and result in tie rod failure.

Dealers will replace the tie rod assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 29, 2024.

Dodge Sedans: Seat May Not Lock into Upright Position

Chrysler is recalling certain 2023 Dodge Chargers. The left rear seat back may not lock in the upright position. A seat back that is not locked into position can increase the risk of injury in a crash.

Dealers will inspect and adjust the seat back latch striker as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were expected to be mailed Aug. 15, 2024.

Doosan Portable Compressor Trailers: Wheel May Detach from Loose Lug Nuts

Doosan is recalling certain 2023 Bobcat PA185, and C185WD0-T4F portable compressor trailers. The wheel lug nuts may be improperly tightened.

Owners are advised not to tow their trailers until the remedy has been completed. Dealers will tighten the wheel lug nuts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed Aug. 7, 2024.

Ford SUVs and Pickups: Windshield Wiper Motor May Fail

Ford is recalling certain 2023-2024 Maverick, 2023 Ford Bronco Sport, and 2023 Mustang Mach-E SUVs. The front windshield wiper motor may become inoperative, causing the wipers to fail. An estimated 37,371 vehicles are included in the recall.

Dealers will inspect and replace the windshield wiper motor as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were expected to be mailed Aug. 26, 2024.

Ford Pickup Trucks: Loss of Drive Power from Undetected Low Battery

Ford is also recalling certain 2022 Maverick pickup trucks previously repaired under recall number 24V-267. The body and power train control modules may fail to detect a change in the 12-volt battery state of charge.

NHTSA documents reveal that certain vehicles did not receive the remedy for the previous recall, but were incorrectly closed in the system as having received the repair. An estimated 757 Maverick pickups are included in the recall.

Dealers will recalibrate the body control module and power train control module, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Aug. 26, 2024.

Ford Cargo Vans: Steering Column Assembled with Incorrect Bolt

Ford is also recalling certain 2023-2024 Transit vans. The steering column intermediate shaft may have been secured to the steering gear pinion shaft with an incorrect bolt, which can result in the separation of steering components and cause a loss of steering control.

Dealers will replace the steering column intermediate shaft bolt, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 9, 2024.

Mack Trucks: Driver's Seat Assembly Improperly Tightened

Mack is recalling certain 2024-2025 Anthem, Granite, and Pinnacle trucks equipped with RollTek driver's seat assemblies. An estimated 242 vehicles are included in the recall.

The seat pedestal and seat belt attachment may have been improperly tightened. As a result, the seat belt may not restrain the occupant as intended, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.

Dealers will replace and tighten the seat pedestal and seat belt attachment bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 27, 2024.

Motiv EVs: Damage to Wires can Cause Loss of Drive Power & HV Battery Shutdown Can Cause Loss of Drive Power

Motiv is recalling certain 2021-2024 E-450, 2019-2023 F-59, and 2019-2020 F-53 vehicles equipped with a Motiv Gen 5 EPIC powertrain. The vehicle control software could misclassify a loss of isolation between the chassis and high voltage system, shutting down the high voltage (HV) batteries.

Motiv will release an over-the-air (OTA) software update, free of charge, so no dealership visit is required for the repair. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Aug. 30, 2024. 

Motiv is also recalling certain 2021-2024 E-450 vehicles equipped with a Motiv Gen 5 EPIC powertrain because the Controller Area Network (CAN) signal wires could contact the frame rail and become damaged, causing a loss of drive power.

Motiv field support technicians will inspect and repair any loose wiring, and replace damaged CAN wiring as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed in Aug. 2024.

Nissan EVs: Loss of Drive Power from Inverter Software Error

Nissan is recalling certain 2023 Ariya electric SUVs. The inverter software may misdiagnose an error, which can shut down the EV system, resulting in a loss of drive power.

Dealers will inspect the vehicle's inverter software version and update the software, if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 9, 2024. 

Rosenbauer Fire Trucks: Lower Control Arm Retention Fasteners Can Fail

Rosenbauer is recalling certain 2023-2024 Commander fire trucks equipped with certain independent front suspension assemblies. The lower control arm retention bolts can become brittle and break after being tightened. A broken bolt head can become a projectile, increasing the risk of an injury.

An estimated five trucks are included in the recall.

Dealers will inspect and replace the bolts as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 1, 2024

Tesla EVs: Software May Fail to Detect Unlatched Hood

Tesla is recalling an estimated 1.8 million 2021-2024 Model 3, Model S, Model X, and 2020-2024 Model Y vehicles. The hood latch assembly may fail to detect an unlatched hood condition after the hood has been opened.

Tesla has released an OTA software update, free of charge. This means there is no dealership visit necessary for repair. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 22, 2024.
