CHICAGO - The City of Chicago has signed an agreement to deploy WebTech Wireless’ Quadrant fleet management software on an enterprise (i.e. large-scale) basis. The City of Chicago currently operates more than 3,200 vehicles equipped with Quadrant, from light-duty vehicles, to heavy-duty refuse, snowplow and dump-truck vehicles, with the majority being with the City's Department of Streets and Sanitation. WebTech Wireless’ Quadrant software integrates with the city’s existing geographic information systems.
"We're very pleased that the City of Chicago has chosen to deploy Quadrant on an Enterprise basis. It signals a long term commitment to the Quadrant solution and confidence in WebTech Wireless. And while this conversion from a subscription customer to an enterprise customer will result in a reduction of recurring Quadrant subscription revenues in 2011, we believe it's a natural evolution for a customer relationship of this size and sophistication," said Scott Edmonds, WebTech Wireless' President and CEO. Adding, "We have increased our hardware deployments and service engagements year after year at the City of Chicago, and expect to see these sales continue as we move into this new phase of our relationship."
