Salt Lake City-based Hincklease has hired Lamont Nelson as the lead relationship manager for its municipal leasing business, the company has announced.

Nelson takes over the company's "muni-flex" lease portfolio. The company provides "efficient and competitively priced lease funding, fleet acquisition, and fleet cycling alternatives to traditional vehicle acquisition processes," according to a release.

Nelson brings significant experience from the public and private sectors. His career highlights include guiding fleet operations for Salt Lake City Corporation, Sorenson Companies (Syracuse), Provo City, and most recently All Resort Group of Park City.

His expertise in life-cycle cost analytics, creation of replacement fleet cycling programs, fleet specifying, and forming relationships with dealers, manufacturers, and capital providers will be invaluable to Hincklease Muni-Flex clients.

He will be tasked with augmenting the facets and features already offered, along with building a team of fleet professionals to better accommodate a wider audience of progressive cities, counties and towns who as a result of lower revenues must find effective fleet and funding sources that recognize their unique needs and values, according to the company.

Hincklease is a long-time member of AFLA and NAFA, and also has significant holdings in specialty funding venues of daily rental companies, and commercial users throughout the U.S.
