NAFA Announces New CAFM Graduates

The NAFA Fleet Management Association announced that six public-sector fleet professionals are among those who have recently earned the Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) designation.

The NAFA Fleet Management Association announced that six public-sector fleet professionals are among those who have recently earned the Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) designation.

These fleet professionals are:

Brock Hollingsworth, CAFM, fleet supervisor for Arapahoe County Government in Colorado, oversees the fleet’s satellite shop. He has 33 years of experience in the fleet industry.

Jenica Baggs, CAFM, fleet manager for Box Elder County in Utah, provides management for a fleet of approximately 300 government vehicles in the law enforcement, fire services, public works, and public services sectors. Baggs has more than six years of experience in the fleet industry.

Daniel Bent, CAFM, fleet manager for the State of Delaware, is responsible for managing the state’s group of 120 police vehicles, including ordering, equipping, and stripping for auction. Bent has 15 years of experience in the fleet industry.

Mark Stephens, CAFM, garage manager for Snohomish County Public Utility District in Washington, manages the day-to-day operations of the vehicle maintenance facility. Stephens has three years of experience in the fleet industry.

Elizabeth Cooley, CAFM, fleet and risk management manager for the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Department of Motor Vehicles, is responsible for the maintenance of three hundred vehicles, comprising both leased and purchased cars and trucks. Cooley has 11 years of experience in the fleet industry.

Augusto Giannini, CAFM, automotive supervisor for the City of Coral Gables, Fla., he is responsible for the preventative maintenance and repairs on a fleet of seven hundred vehicles including, administrative, police units, public works, public service and fire department trucks and equipment. Giannini has 15 years of experience in the fleet industry.

To become certified, an applicant must pass a series of exams to demonstrate expertise in the eight disciplines of automotive fleet management: fleet information management, maintenance management, professional development, vehicle fuel management, asset management, business management, financial management, and risk management.

Nearly 500 fleet professionals have been designated CAFMs.
