Altec Trucks: Fuel and Brake Lines May Leak
Altec is recalling certain 2024 AT and TA series aerial devices and ST series spray bodies. The fuel or brake lines may not be properly secured, which can cause the lines to become damaged and leak.
A brake fluid leak can cause brake failure, increasing the risk of a crash. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
Altec will provide owners with instructions to inspect the brake and fuel lines. If improperly secured, Altec will provide a kit to secure the lines. If the lines are damaged, dealers will repair the fuel and brake lines. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Oct. 25, 2024.
ATC Mobile Trailers: Improperly Routed Fuel Line May Cause Fire & Generator Exhaust Port Failure May Cause Fire
Aluminum Trailer Company (ATC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Commercial Office trailers equipped with CK7G generators. The fuel line assembly on the generator may be loose or improperly routed, which can result in a fuel leak.
ATC will work with the equipment manufacturer, CK Power, to replace and reroute the fuel lines, free of charge.
ATC has also issued another recall for the same vehicles because the insulated exhaust port outlet may fail, which can result in damage to other components.
For this recall, ATC will also work with CK Power to inspect and replace the exhaust pipe, gaskets and mufflers as necessary, free of charge
Owner notification letters for both recalls were mailed Sept. 5, 2024.
Autocar Fire Trucks: Misdirected Exhaust Can Overheat CNG Fuel Tank
Autocar is recalling certain 2022-2024 DC Legend fire trucks. All models that have a CNG chassis manufactured with horizontal exhaust diffusers are included in the recall. The horizontal exhaust diffuser may be improperly positioned and vent exhaust toward the CNG fuel tank. A total of 80 vehicles are included in this recall.
Dealers will inspect and reposition the exhaust diffuser as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Oct. 25, 2024.
Elgin Sweepers: Fuel Tank May Be Overfilled and Leak
Elgin Sweeper is recalling certain 2023-2024 Broom Badger street sweepers. The fuel system
may allow the tank to be overfilled, which can cause a fuel leak that increases the risk of fire.
Dealers will repair the fuel tank, free of charge.
The manufacturer has not yet provided a schedule for recall notification.
E-One Fire Trucks: Engine Crossmember May Break
E-One is recalling certain 2022-2023 Cyclone 2, 2022-2024 Cyclone N, and Typhoon N fire trucks. The engine crossmember may break, allowing the cooling fan to contact the fan shroud and become damaged. A damaged cooling fan can result in an engine stall while driving and increase the risk of a crash.
Dealers will inspect and repair the crossmember as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were expected to be mailed Sept. 16, 2024.
Felling Trailers: Trailer Axle Bracket May Break
Felling Trailers is recalling certain 2011-2022 Avtron D40548 trailers. The axle bracket may experience cracking and break, allowing the axle to detach from the trailer.
Dealers will inspect and repair the axle bracket as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were expected to be mailed in September 2024.
Ford SUVs and Pickup Trucks: Engine Intake Valves May Break & Fuel Injectors May Leak
Ford is recalling certain 2021-2022 Bronco, F-150, Edge, Explorer, Lincoln Nautilus, and Lincoln Aviator vehicles equipped with either a 2.7L or 3.0L Nano EcoBoost engine. The engine intake valves may break while driving, which can result in engine failure and a loss of drive power.
Dealers will perform an engine cycle test and replace the engine as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Oct. 7, 2024.
A separate recall includes certain 2023 Lincoln Corsair, 2023-2024 Escape, 2024 Mustang, and 2025 Explorer vehicles. The fuel injectors may have been assembled without O-ring support discs, which can result in a fuel leak.
According to NHTSA documents, the recall includes 14 Ford Escapes and two Ford Explorers.
Dealers will install new fuel injector O-rings and O-ring support discs, free of charge. Owner notification letters were expected to be mailed Sept. 30, 2024.
Ford SUVs: Loss of Drive Power from Undetected Low Battery & Battery Cable May Short Circuit
Ford is recalling 2024 Bronco Sport SUVs. The body and power train control modules may fail
to detect a change in the 12-volt battery state of charge. An undetected low battery charge can
result in a loss of electrical accessories such as hazard lights or cause a loss of driver power,
increasing the risk of a crash.
An estimated 76 vehicles are included in the recall.
Dealers will update the body control module and powertrain control module software, free of
charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 25, 2024. Vehicles in this
recall that were previously recalled for the same issue under 24V-267 will need to have the new
remedy performed.
A separate recall includes certain 2024 Ford Explorer SUVs equipped with 3.3L Hybrid engines.
The 12-Volt battery cable may chafe against the Belt-integrated Starter Generat (BiSG) and
short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.
Dealers will install a tie strap between the battery cable and high voltage cable, free of charge.
Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 21, 2024.
Ford Trucks: Parking Lights May Flicker & Rearview Camera Image May Freeze
Ford is recalling certain 2022 F-150 pickup trucks. The parking lights may flicker when the headlights are activated. As such, these trucks fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Dealers will replace the LED Driver module, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed September 26, 2024, on 2022 F-150, and September 27, 2024, on 2022 Maverick. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact. These vehicles were previously recalled for this same issue under 22V-686 and will need to have the new remedy performed.
Ford is also recalling certain 2022-2024 Ford Maverick vehicles equipped with Connected Touch Radios (CTR). The rearview camera image may freeze when the vehicle is in reverse.
Dealers will update the Connected Touch Radio (CTR) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were expected to be mailed September 30, 2024.
Ford Vans: Incorrect Gross Axle Weight Rating on Labels
Ford is also recalling certain 2024 Transit vans. The front gross axle weight rating may be labeled incorrectly on the vehicle B-pillar label and the owner's manual label, which can result in an overloaded vehicle.
Dealers will replace the labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were expected to be mailed Sept. 9, 2024.
General Motors Trucks and SUVs: Inoperative Low Brake Fluid Warning
General Motors is recalling certain 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2023-2024 Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon, Yukon XL, Cadillac Escalade, and Escalade ESV trucks and SUVs.
The electronic brake control module software may fail to display a warning light when a loss of brake fluid occurs. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Vehicle Safety Standard number 135, "Light Vehicle Brake Systems."
The Electronic Brake Control Module (eBCM) software will be updated through an over-the-air
(OTA) update or by a dealer, free of charge.
General Motors Pickup Trucks: Improperly Tightened Seat Belt Bolt & Headlights May Flicker
General Motors is recalling certain 2023-2024 Chevrolet Colorado and 2023 GMC Canyon pickup trucks. The left or right front seat may have a seat belt buckle attachment bolt that was not tightened properly.
Dealers will tighten the left and right front seat belt buckle attachment bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 4, 2024.
In a sperate recall, GM is recalling certain 2024 GMC Canyon pickup trucks. The headlights may flicker while driving and while the vehicle is in park. As such, these trucks fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Safety Standard number 108.
Dealers will replace a module in the headlight, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 28, 2024.
General Motors Vans: Brake Line May Become Damaged and Leak Brake Fluid
General Motors is recalling 2013-2019 Chevrolet Express Cutaway and GMC Savana Cutaway vans equipped with optional GM-provided body mounts (RPO BNC). The brake line may have insufficient clearance to the body mounts, which can result in brake line damage that can lead to a brake fluid leak.
Dealers will inspect and replace the brake line as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 4, 2024.
Motiv Chassis: Loose, Damaged Wires Can Cause Loss of Drive Power
Motiv is recalling certain 2017-2020 E-450 and F-59 vehicles equipped with a Motiv Gen 4 EPIC and 2020-2023 F-53 and F-59 vehicles equipped with a Motiv Gen 5 EPIC powertrain. The wiring harness may be missing a heat shrink insulator and retention clip. The 12-volt control wires may deteriorate and loosen, causing a loss of connection to the high voltage (HV) batteries and drive power.
Motiv field support technicians will inspect and correct any loose wiring, and replace damaged 12-volt control wires, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 11, 2024.
Multiquip Mobile Water Trailers: Brakes May Engage Unexpectedly
Multiquip is recalling certain 2024 WTE5C and WTE5HP water trailers. The trailer brakes may engage unexpectedly or fail to engage when the turn signal is activated, due to wiring that is incorrectly connected between the turn signal and electric brakes. As such, these trailers fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 105, "Hydraulic and Electric Brake Systems" and 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Dealers will inspect and repair the wiring, free of charge.
OEM Systems Pickup Trucks: Rear Bumper Mounting Bracket Underrated for Towing
OEM Systems is recalling certain 2024 Chevrolet Silverado pickup trucks. The rear bumper mounting bracket may not be sufficient for towing, which can allow the towed trailer to detach from the vehicle.
An estimated 38 vehicles are included in the recall.
OEM will replace the rear bumper mounting bracket and hitch, free of charge. Owner notification letters were expected to be mailed in Aug. 2024.
Ram Pickup Trucks: Disabled Electronic Stability Control
Chrysler is recalling certain 2019 and 2021-2024 Ram 1500 pickup trucks. Due to a software malfunction, the anti-lock brake system (ABS) control module may disable the electronic stability control system.
Driving with a disabled electronic stability control system can increase the risk of a crash.
Dealers will update the ABS control module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Oct. 3, 2024.
Rivian Trucks: SCCM Missing Cruise Control Markings
Rivian is recalling 2025 R1S pickup trucks. The steering column control module (SCCM) may be missing cruise control markings. As such, these trucks fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Control and Displays."
An estimated 33 trucks are included in the recall.
Rivian will inspect and replace the SCCMs as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 19, 2024.
Textron LSVs: Brake Linkage Rod May Bend
Textron is recalling certain 2024-2025 E-Z-GO Liberty LSV, CUSHMAN Tour LSV and CUSHMAN Hauler Pro vehicles. The brake linkage rod may bend under applied force, impairing application of the brakes.
Dealers will replace the brake linkage rod, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 23, 2024.
Toyota Corolla Hybrid SUVs: Loss of Power Brake Assist
Toyota is recalling certain 2023-2024 Corolla Cross Hybrid vehicles. A software error in the skid control electronic control unit (ECU) may result in a loss of power brake assist when turning a Dealers will update the skid control ECU software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 5, 2024.
Trail King Trailers: Trailer May Drop to Ground During Loading
Trail King is recalling 39 2019-2020 TKHDG Paver Special trailers. The gooseneck lift lower cylinder mount may fatigue and crack, which can cause the trailer to drop suddenly during the loading or unloading process.
An estimated 39 trailers are included in the recall.
Dealers will install reinforcements to the lower cylinder mount, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 18, 2024.
Volvo Trucks: Improperly Tightened Wheel Lug Nuts
Volvo Trucks is recalling certain 2025 VN and VHD trucks. The wheel lug nuts may be improperly tightened.
Dealers will tighten the left-side lug nuts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 19, 2024.
