John Webster, fleet management director for Salt Lake County, Utah, will retire on July 15. He has worked at the county since 2005 and prior to that, worked as the assistant fleet director at Salt Lake City for 19 years.

County officials announced today that Greg Nuzman, currently associate director, will replace Webster as the county’s new fleet management director.

"Greg has been my right hand man for the past 20 years, at the city and then with me at Salt Lake County. Greg is an amazing individual with over 30 years in the fleet and automotive industry," Webster said.

At Salt Lake County, Webster has been working on finishing up the construction of a $10 million facility that will be LEED-certified in the silver category and contain state-of-the-art equipment. He is also currently working on the construction of a 50-truck slow fill compressed natural gas (CNG) station.

Webster has been an active member of the public fleet community, speaking at fleet events such as the Government Fleet Expo and Conference (GFX) and the Rocky Mountain Fleet Management Association's FleetCon.

"I'm getting to say goodbye to some friends," he said at the recent GFX, which is one of the last public fleet events he will attend. Webster will join a private sector fleet, which he is unable to name at this time.
