Bobcat Company has introduced the PG1140 portable generator, a unit designed to increase power capacity, reduce transport needs, and improve load management in a single trailer-mounted package.
“The Bobcat PG1140 integrates two PG570 generators into a single 48-foot trailer, combining output while reducing transport and setup costs,” said Bobby Ranker, product specialist II for Bobcat Company.
The PG1140 uses two Cummins X15 engines that operate without exhaust gas recirculation, eliminating minimum-load requirements and supporting operation in temperatures as low as -13°F.
Extended Runtime and Operational Features
The generator carries more than 1,300 gallons of fuel and 92 gallons of diesel exhaust fluid, providing more than 27 hours of runtime at 75% load. An oversized alternator is designed to support applications with high starting demands.
The trailer includes high ground clearance, modular safety railings and a ladder for access. Switchgear and controls are located at ground level, and space behind the switchgear can store cabling and power-distribution equipment to simplify site logistics.
The PG1140’s additional specifications include:
1140 kVA (912 kW) output at 60 Hz
Link board panel for multiple voltage configurations
Shore power access for block heaters and battery chargers
Tier 4 Final emissions compliance
The PG1140 is available through Bobcat dealers across North America.
