John Deere has introduced its redesigned 17 P-Tier and 26 P-Tier Compact Excavators, developed in response to customer feedback and testing. The new models are designed to improve versatility, productivity, and operator comfort for public works and municipal fleet applications.

Both models feature upgraded dig forces, a new fixed pin mechanical coupler, long-arm options, and standard thumb-ready brackets. The 26 P-Tier includes a redesigned cab with heat and air conditioning, a Bluetooth radio, and a sealed switch module for simplified machine control.

Attachment Versatility and Jobsite Efficiency

The compact excavators are built for durability and performance across a range of municipal, landscaping, and construction applications. Operators can choose between single or dual auxiliary hydraulic lines to accommodate multiple attachments, including augers, compactors, and other hydraulic tools.

A factory-installed mechanical fixed pin coupler allows faster attachment changes, while wedge-style adapters help maintain compatibility with existing John Deere compact excavator attachments. A long-arm option provides additional dig depth and reach, helping crews handle more complex jobs without sacrificing lift capacity or power.

Simplified Maintenance and Equipment Management

To improve fleet maintenance, both models feature easily accessible battery disconnects and a 500-hour maintenance tracker integrated into the machine’s monitor. The tracker alerts operators within 10 hours of a required service interval.

Standard JDLink telematics connects to the John Deere Operations Center, allowing fleet managers to monitor equipment health, location, and utilization remotely. This data helps improve uptime, theft prevention, and asset management.

Warranty and Support

All John Deere compact excavators are covered by a two-year, 2,000-hour standard warranty, with extended warranty options available. Fleets can access certified John Deere technicians and an extensive parts network to streamline service and minimize downtime.
