An efficiency study of the City of Pekin, Ill., recommended the city create a fleet superintendent position to consolidate all the duties performed by other departments, the Pekin Times reported.
The superintendent would centralize fleet management, create a vehicle replacement schedule, and create a replacement fund. The city has 224 vehicles currently valued at more than $15.2 million.
