The Alternative Fuels Data Center, a resource of the U.S. Dept. of Energy, has enhanced the Laws and Incentives page on its website, making it easier to find the laws, incentives, and programs applicable to specific fleets. With the numerous laws and incentives related to alternative fuels and vehicles, advanced technologies, and air quality, this enhancement makes it easier for users to keep track of those that are applicable to them.
On the state side, users can quickly see a snapshot of all states and the number of laws or incentives by state, while the Recent State Actions page provides a list of the laws or incentives recently put in place.
An enhanced search function allows users to sort results by jurisdiction (i.e., a particular state), technology/fuel, and incentive or regulation type. A new keyword search can be used to find a particular law or incentive by its bill number or a key term.
