The Town of Century, Fla., purchased its first compressed natural gas (CNG) truck and plans to open a natural gas fueling station by the end of the year. Century’s Mayor Freddie McCall said he believes savings in fuel costs will add up over time, reported NorthEscombia.com.

The Town of Century, Fla., purchased its first compressed natural gas (CNG) truck and plans to open a natural gas fueling station by the end of the year. Century's Mayor Freddie McCall said he believes savings in fuel costs will add up over time, reported NorthEscombia.com.

The bi-fuel CNG truck cost $34,999, partially paid for by a state rebate program.

The Town is in the process of constructing its first fueling station. Equipment for the station will be installed in about six weeks.
