
Sales of light-duty vehicles from nine manufacturers to government fleets fell 26% to 21,714 in April compared to the same month a year ago, according to Automotive Fleet data.
Passenger cars fell 27% to 4,806, while sales of trucks, vans, and SUVs fell 25.7% to 16,908 units.
For the first four months of the year, fleet sales has fallen 5.7% to 69,658 from the same frame a year ago. The truck category has remained flat with a 0.3% decline to 55,656, while sales of police sedans and other passenger cars have fallen 22.6% to 18,096 units.
