Sales of vehicles by nine manufacturers to government fleets slipped 7.8% to 21,243 units in July compared to the same month a year ago, according to Automotive Fleet data.
Sales of trucks, vans, and SUVs were essentially flat, falling 1.5% to 14,776 units, while sales of cars fell 23% to 4,804.
For the calendar year through July, fleet sales to government users have fallen 8.7% to 133,706 units compared to a year ago. Sales of trucks, vans, and SUVs have increased 1% to 105,173, while sales of cars have fallen 32.7% to 28,533 units.
