2 min to read

Attendees of the 2013 Green Fleet Conference & Expo in Phoenix will get the chance to kick the tires on the latest alternative-fueled and powered vehicles Oct. 1-2. To make it easier for government fleets to attend, the conference and Hyatt Regency are offering government attendees a per diem hotel rate of $105 per night if the room is booked before Sept. 6.

Government attendees will find sessions throughout the two-day event geared specifically for their fleets. Some of those sessions include:

  • The City of Columbus' Green Fleet Policies & Implementation Efforts: The City of Columbus, Ohio, is moving full-speed ahead with CNG, and its Green Fleet Policy has proven to be a model for many other cities. This session will explore the policies and implementation efforts that have resulted in the City of Columbus’ extensive CNG infrastructure, which includes a fleet of CNG vehicles and public 24-hour CNG fueling stations.

  • How to Green Your Fleet When Funding Is Scarce: Hear real-world examples of how different public sector fleets were able to creatively fund alt-fuel vehicle acquisitions and move forward to meet their sustainability goals when funding was scarce.

You can find more information about the sessions here.

Aside from sessions, attendees will also get the chance to get behind the wheel of different alt-fuel vehicles, as well as network with other fleet professionals during networking breaks and nightly events.

To find out more about the hotel rates, go to the conference hotel page. Early bird registration rates are also available before Sept. 6, while the exhibit hall is free to attend.

You can also find here a letter template if you need help obtaining budget approval to attend.
