The Lakewood Fire Department (N.Y.) updated its fleet with a new pumping engine, ambulance, command vehicle, pickup truck, and boat, reports the Post-Journal.
The village recently purchased a 2016 Spartan Gladiator to replace a fire engine from 1993, which will be sold, and a 2016 Ford Road Rescue Type III ambulance to replace a 2006 model, which will be kept as a backup. The old pickup truck and command vehicle were traded in for newer models, a 2017 Dodge Ram truck and a 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe.
In addition, the village received a donated 2013 Carolina Skiff 18-inch boat.
