The City of Port Arthur, Texas, has reported $24.8 million of total damage to the city’s equipment fleet as a result of Hurricane and Tropical Storm Harvey, reports Port Arthur News.
So far, $6.78 million has been authorized for replacements so far and to date, the city has spent $4.9 million on replacements. Solid waste reported the most damage, a total of $7.4 million worth of damage was identified on its trucks.
In total, 55% of the fleet has been repaired and has been placed in service.
