VIA Technologies launched an EV forklift support for the VIA Mobile360 Forklift Safety System, with a 36V-100V DC-DC power converter. It ensures the smooth integration of the VIA Mobile360 Forklift Safety System in all types of EV forklifts, according to a press release. It is available as an optional accessory for all configurations of the system.

“The launch of this new power converter makes it easy for customers to deploy the VIA Mobile360 Forklift Safety System across their entire fleet in both combustion-powered and electric-powered vehicles," said Richard Brown, vice president of international marketing for VIA Technologies.

The VIA Mobile360 Forklift Safety System can prevent pedestrian accidents in warehouse, manufacturing, and construction environments with its pinpoint detection capabilities that automatically alert the driver when someone steps too close to the vehicle. The system also supports a Driver Safety System (DSS) that issues alerts when it detects signs of fatigue or risky behavior such as smart phone usage through the driver camera.

The system provides a complete out-of-the-box solution that is easy to install, and is reliable in the toughest indoor and outdoor environments, according to VIA Technologies.d
