Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas is offering 14 different models of hydraulic breakers that complement Hyundai excavators of all sizes. This is the company's first attachment product line for the North American market.
The HBD series includes 14 models - HBD10 through HBD800 - and offers a chisel diameter from 1.6 to 7.9 inches. The operating weights range from 271 to 12,401 lbs. and the overall lengths range from 44.4 to 159 in. The four chisel options are moil, wedge, blunt, or conical. The new series offers an Anti Blank Firing system, which prevents the breaker from continuing to strike once material has been demolished. Also there is a two-stroke selector system that comes standard on the HDB50-HDB180 models. This feature allows operators to change from long to short strokes depending on the job.
The new models only use NOK oil seals, and there is an additional square buffer to minimize shaking action, according to the manufacturer. Customers also have the option of an auto grease bracket mounted system for the HDB140 to HDB800 models, which allows for automatic greasing several times a day.
