WAYNE, PA– AssetWorks, a provider of fleet Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software and Automated Fuel Systems, has signed a contract to provide their FleetFocus enterprise asset management software suite to the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA), which serves as the fire department for 22 Orange County cities as well as for the County’s unincorporated area. Its members serve a population of more than 1.38 million people covering 550 square miles, including 120,000 acres of wildland.

With 62 fire stations, the OCFA is the largest fire department in Orange County and one of the largest in California. OCFA’s members consist of more than 1,500 employees, including 882 career firefighters and chief officers, 390 reserve firefighters, and 278 support staff. These members provide a wide range of services ranging from emergency fire and life safety response to fire code enforcement, fire prevention and public education, and support services.

The OCFA manages its own Fleet Services, providing centralized, full service support to more than 400 vehicles and fire apparatus, including preventive maintenance, major repairs, and renovations. The Fleet Services Section maintains 46 different vehicle types across all the OCFA’s fire stations and headquarters facility, ranging from fire trucks to bulldozers.

AssetWorks FleetFocus tracks all functions related to the maintenance of equipment, including processing repair and preventive maintenance (PM) work orders, tracking operating expenses (e.g., fuel, oil, and licensing), and tracking and billing for equipment usage. FleetFocus also supports shop scheduling, replacement analysis, equipment and replacement planning, and AVL/GPS integration.
