FITCHBURG, MA -  Fleet management software provider Chevin Fleet Solutions continues to expand its telecommunications client base recently, adding Bahamas Telecommunications Company to their rapidly growing list of global clients.

Chevin Fleet Solutions is a provider of enterprise fleet management software whose two primary products are FleetWave — a commercially available Web-based fleet management information system — and RoadBASE, a PC-based fleet management system used by telecommunications providers around the world.

Bahamas Communications Company (BTC) provides telecommunications solutions to the more than 30 districts and out-islands across the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. BTC’s wide-ranging suite of services includes telephone, cellular, mobile trunking, and high speed Internet access; and supports these offerings with a fleet of more than 700 pieces of equipment spread across the country.

Utilizing the tremendous flexibility of FleetWave, BTC can link each of their facilities together, allowing them to share resources, reduce on-hand parts inventories, and significantly improve maintenance practices and compliance of the countless inspections and certifications required for their diverse fleet. With integration to the company’s enterprise financial and HR systems as well as external maintenance providers, telematics and fuel management systems, FleetWave has dramatically streamlined labor and paper intensive processes. Additionally, with FleetWave’s support of auto-generated email and SMS text notification of pending, due, and past due PMs and safety inspections, BTC has vastly enhanced its management and oversight of statutory and safety-related tasks.

With extensive fleet management requirements from complete asset and lifecycle management, workshop, inventory, purchasing, warranty, and campaign management, driver management (including hours of service compliance) as well as accident and risk management, BTC’s fleet management team is now able to manage their diverse fleet using information rather than instinct, dramatically enhancing fleet oversight and savings. With FleetWave’s uniquely user definable capabilities, 100 percent of BTC’s specific requirements have been met without the need for costly and time consuming development.

With simple deployment over the BTC’s intranet, the fleet management team are now able to access FleetWave from anywhere at any time, providing real-time reporting and query capabilities, presenting remote and casual users with accurate and timely information regarding fleet conditions, scheduled maintenance, and compliance statistics.
