Opening Keynote Address: Over the Wall Thinking

Andy Papathanassiou became NASCAR’s first pit crew coach when hired by Hendrick Motorsports in 1992, as an original member of Jeff Gordon’s Dupont #24 race team. In this opening keynote address, Papathanassiou shares about the make-up of a highly successful team, focusing on the roles of leadership and the individual. His "Over the Wall Thinking" philosophy focuses on the athletic mindset. The cognitive building blocks of competitive athletics give each of us the ability to lead a more engaged, successful and happier life. Read more here.


Kevin Devery

Industry Keynote Address: How to Get ‘Buy-in’ for Your Vision & Projects

Kevin Devery has over 30 years in the automotive and diesel industry. He is the fleet superintendent for the City of Goodyear, Arizona. In his industry keynote address, Devery will discuss getting buy-in, whether with the fleet team, upper management, or elected officials. He will share his personal successes and failures, and how telling your story and empathizing with your team and customers can help you get the support needed for new projects. Read more here.

This year's event is being held in Detroit, known as the Motor City, May 23-26. It features more than 20 valuable educational sessions, an exciting expo floor with new vehicles and technology, an interactive ride-and-drive, a festive Honors Celebration for awards winners, an optional tour of the Ford Rouge Factory, and more.
