Government fleet sales continue to struggle to keep up with 2024 numbers as June sales dipped 10.1% compared to last year's numbers, according to Bobit Business Media fleet numbers released this month.
Last month's fleet sales came in at 21,539 vehicles sold, which was a difference of 2,432 vehicles from June 2024 when 23,971 vehicles were sold [Government fleet numbers were only present from Ford, GM, and Stellantis. The six major Asian-based automakers did not report any monthly fleet sales].
The Numbers Across the Board
Cars saw the biggest drop, going from 425 cars sold in June 2024 to only 97 cars in 2025. Truck and SUV sales daw a dip of about 9% going from 23,564 sold in 2024 to 21,442 sold in June of this year.
Year-to-date, government vehicle sales are down 16.2% compared to this time last year. Last year, a total of 142,217 government vehicle sales were reported while this year 119,225 vehicle sales were report year-to-date.
However, despite these numbers, June had one of the higher government vehicle sales, falling just behind May's numbers of 22,129 vehicles sold.
