SEATTLE – King County has donated 27 retired Metro Vanpool vans to provide transportation assistance to local organizations, including government agencies and community programs.
The vans go to organizations that provide transportation for low-income individuals, young adults, the disabled, and senior citizens, according to the County.
The vehicles have been in the County’s Metro Vanpool fleet for more than six years and are at the end of their service life. The County Council has been donating retired vans from the Metro Vanpool program since 1995.
Organizations that received the retired vans this year are as follows:
