Daimler Trucks: Brake Light Failure from Software Error
Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2026 Freightliner 108SD, Freightliner 114SD, Freightliner Cascadia, 2025-2026 Freightliner Business Class M2, Western Star 47X, and Western Star 49X vehicles. A software error in the advanced signal and actuator module for the automatic emergency braking system may cause the brake lights to fail to illuminate.
Dealers will update the brake light software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 24, 2025.
Ford Motor Company: Instrument Panel Not Illuminated/FMVSS 101
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Maverick Hybrid vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 24V-140. The instrument panel cluster may not properly illuminate warning lights or gauges.
As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 101, "Control and Displays," and 102, "Transmission shift position sequence, starter interlock, and transmission braking effect" as well as FMVSS numbers 105, 108, and 208.
Dealers will update the instrument panel cluster software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 14, 2025.
Unintended Brake Light Illumination/FMVSS 108
Ford is also recalling certain 2022 Maverick vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 24V-730. Under certain circumstances, the Antilock Brake System (ABS) module may cause the brake lights to illuminate without the driver applying the brakes. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Dealers will update the software in the ABS module, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 25, 2025.
Loss of Drive Power from Undetected Low Battery
Ford is also recalling certain 2022 Maverick vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 24V-590. The body and power train control modules may fail to detect a change in the 12-volt battery state of charge.
Dealers will update the power train control module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 14, 2025.
High Voltage Battery Contactor May Overheat
Ford is also recalling certain 2021-2022 Mustang Mach-E vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 22V-412. The high voltage battery main contactors may overheat.
Dealers will update the on-board software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on April 14, 2025.
Front Windows May Fail to Reverse Direction
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2023 Super Duty F-250 and F-350 vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 23V-507. The driver and front passenger windows may fail to detect an obstacle while closing and not reverse direction as intended.
Dealers will update the software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 24, 2025.
Loss of Drive Power from Undetected Low Battery
Ford is also recalling certain 2021-2024 Bronco Sport and 2022-2023 Maverick vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 24V-267. The body and power train control modules may fail to detect a change in the 12-volt battery state of charge.
Dealers will recalibrate the body control module and power train control module, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 24, 2025.
High Voltage Battery May Short Circuit
Ford is also recalling certain 2022-2024 F-150 Lightning battery electric vehicles. A manufacturing defect in the high voltage battery cells may result in an internal short circuit.
Owners are advised to only charge their vehicles to a maximum of 80% battery capacity until the repair has been completed. Dealers will inspect and replace the high voltage battery array as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 17, 2025.
Trailer Brakes May Fail
Ford is also recalling recalling certain 2021-2022 F-150, 2022 Maverick, Expedition, Lincoln Navigator, F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 22V-193. Due to a software error, a towed trailer equipped with an electric or electric-over hydraulic brake system may not brake.
Dealers will update the integrated trailer brake control module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 14, 2025.
Software Error May Cause Loss of Drive Power
Ford is also recalling certain 2022-2024 Maverick, 2022 Escape, and 2021-2022 Lincoln Corsair vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 24V-330. The Hybrid Powertrain Control Module (HPCM) software may cause the vehicle to shift into neutral unexpectedly, causing a loss of drive power.
Dealers will update the HPCM software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 14, 2025.
Incorrect Rearview Camera Image May Display
Ford is also recalling certain 2023 F-Super Duty F-250, F-350, and F-450 vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 23V-573. The default rearview camera image may not be displayed when using the Pro Trailer Hitch Assist feature.
Dealers will update the Advanced Drive Assistance System (ADAS) module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 14, 2025.
Rearview Camera Image Displayed Incorrectly
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2025 Escape vehicles. The rearview camera may incorrectly display an inverted image when the vehicle is in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Dealers will inspect and replace the rearview camera as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 28, 2025.
Steering Column Shifter May Detach
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2025 Super Duty F-250, F-350, and F-450 vehicles. The steering column shifter may have been improperly welded and detach from the steering column.
Dealers will inspect the steering column serial numbers and replace the steering column as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 24, 2025.
Unexpected Vehicle Movement
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2024-2025 F-150, Bronco, 2024 Ranger, 2025 Mustang, Explorer, and Aviator vehicles. The transmission valve body may have been machined incorrectly, which can cause reverse gear failure, or unexpected forward movement in reverse or neutral gear.
Dealers will replace the transmission main control valve body, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 5, 2025.
Inoperative HVAC Controls
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Transit vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 22V-791. The heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system's controls, including those for defog and defrost, may become inoperative.
Dealers will update the remote climate control module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 24, 2025.
Transmission May Shift into Neutral While Driving
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021 F-150 vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 22V-188. The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) for low transmission fluid pressure may falsely activate and cause the transmission to unexpectedly shift into neutral.
Dealers will update the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 24, 2025.
Forest River Bus: Emergency Exit Window Handle May Not Be Visible
Forest River Bus, LLC (Forest River Bus) is recalling certain 2024 Starcraft Allstar Transit buses. The handle for the emergency exit window may not be visible to someone standing in the aisle, which can delay passengers from exiting in the event of an emergency.
Dealers will replace the bottom handle windows with side handle windows, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 2, 2025.
GM: Steering May Lock Up While Driving
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2023-2024 BrightDrop Zevo 600 and 2024 Zevo 400 vehicles. The steering shaft may have been damaged during vehicle assembly and cause the steering to lock up.
Dealers will replace the lower intermediate shaft, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 28, 2025.
Hyundai: Instrument Panel Display Failure/FMVSS 101
Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain Genesis 2023-2024 G80, GV80, 2025 GV70 and 2023-2025 GV70 "Electrified" vehicles. Due to a software error, the instrument panel display may fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Controls and Displays."
Dealers will update the instrument panel display software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 20, 2025.
Motiv: Loss of Drive Power
Motiv Power Systems, Inc. (Motiv) is recalling certain 2017-2020 E-450 and F-59 vehicles with Gen 4 EPIC powertrain, 2020-2023 E-450, F-59, and F-53 vehicles with a Gen 5 EPIC powertrain, and 2023-2025 Motiv F-59 and F-53 vehicles with a Gen 6 EPIC powertrain. A throttle position sensor (TPS) power wire connector pin may loosen, causing a loss of signal to the powertrain control module and a loss of drive power.
Motiv field support technicians will inspect and repair, or replace the PCM connector, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 1, 2025.

Motiv is also recalling certain 2017-2020 E-450 and F-59 school buses with Gen 4 EPIC powertrain, and 2020-2023 E-450, F-59, and F-53 school buses with a Gen 5 EPIC powertrain. Mack Trucks, Inc.: High Voltage Batteries May Short Circuit
Mack is recalling certain 2022-2024 Mack LRBE trucks. The high voltage batteries may have loose hardware that can fall inside the battery pack and create a short circuit.
Dealers will replace the batteries, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 19, 2025.
Orange EV: Incorrect GAWR on Federal Placard/FMVSS 120
Orange EV is recalling certain 2023-2024 HUSK-e XP terminal trucks. The rear Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) on the federal placard is incorrect and the installed tires and rims may be inadequate for the truck's intended use. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 120, "Wheels and Rims - Other Than Passenger Cars."
The remedy is currently under development. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk are expected to be mailed April 25, 2025. A second notice will be sent once the remedy becomes available.
PACCAR: High Voltage Failure Can Cause Loss of Drive Power
PACCAR Incorporated (PACCAR) is recalling certain 2021-2025 Peterbilt 520, 579, and Kenworth T680 trucks. The high voltage (HV) contactors may open, causing a sudden loss of high voltage and a loss of drive power.
Dealers will update the software and replace the electrical harness, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 23, 2025.
Defective Harness May Cause Loss of Drive Power
PACCAR is also recalling certain 2024-2025 Peterbilt 220, Kenworth K270, and K370 Medium-Duty Battery Electric Vehicles. The cradle harness may have a loose electrical connection that can cause a loss of drive power.
Dealers will inspect and replace the cradle harness as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 23, 2025.
Shyft Group: Improperly Tightened Jump Seat Bolts/FMVSS 207
Shyft Group (Shyft) is recalling certain 2025 Utilimaster Upfit vehicles. The passenger jump seat mounting bolts may not have been properly tightened. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 207, "Seating Systems."
Dealers will inspect and tighten the jump seat mounting bolts, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 17, 2025.
Tesla: Incorrect Horn Pad May Prevent Horn From Sounding
Tesla is recalling certain 2021-2024 Model S and 2021-2025 Model X vehicles. An air bag with the incorrect horn pad may have been installed, preventing the horn from sounding.
Tesla service will inspect and install an air bag with the correct horn pad as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 20, 2025.
Vermeer: Trailer Frame May Crack
Vermeer Manufacturing Company (Vermeer) is recalling certain 2020-2025 LPSDT, LPSGT, and LPXDT vacuum excavator trailers. The trailer frame may crack or break, reducing the trailer's stability while being towed.
Dealers will install reinforcement plates on the trailer, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 24, 2025.
Volvo Trucks: Delayed Brake Activation/FMVSS 121
Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2023-2025 New VN trucks. The brakes may take longer than expected to activate. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 121, "Air Brake Systems."
Dealers will install a new pneumatic circuit, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 18, 2025.
