The Brevard, North Carolina, Police Department (BPD) is looking to rebrand its patrol vehicles.
According to the Transylvania Times, BPD Chief Thomas Jordan asked the city council to scrap the department’s current design of a black vehicle with white doors to an all-black vehicle with blue and white branding. The new look would reportedly save the city $1,500 per new vehicle by not having to paint patrol car doors white and it would reduce vehicle rollout times by up to two weeks.
The Brevard City Council is expected to consider the proposed changes at its next meeting on Feb. 7.
