Government Fleet has a roundup of the latest recalls of popular fleet vehicles and equipment.

Acura: Power Steering May Fail

Honda is recalling certain 2025 Acura RDX vehicles. The electric power steering software may not be calibrated correctly, causing loss of power steering assist.

Dealers will reprogram the EPS software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected Oct. 20, 2025.

Altec: Hydraulic Outriggers May Fail

Altec Industries is recalling certain 2023–2025 digger derricks and aerial devices. The hydraulic outrigger cylinders may develop leaks, which can cause the outrigger to retract unexpectedly and increase the risk of tip-over.

Dealers will inspect and replace the outrigger cylinders as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Oct. 14, 2025.


Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram: Rearview Camera May Fail

Chrysler is recalling certain 2019–2021 Ram ProMaster and 2019–2020 Dodge Journey vehicles. Cracks in the microprocessor may cause the rearview camera image not to display properly, failing to comply with FMVSS 111.

Dealers will replace the rearview camera, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 30, 2025, with a second owner notification letter once the final remedy is available.


Dodge/Jeep: Rollaway Risk in EVs

Chrysler is recalling certain 2024–2025 Dodge Charger and Jeep Wagoneer S EVs. An incorrectly installed spring may cause loss of the park function, creating rollaway risk.

Dealers will replace the electric drive module, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected Sept. 25, 2025.

Ford: Water Intrusion May Disable Exterior Lighting

Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2024–2025 Mustang and Mustang GTD vehicles. Water may enter the body control module and disable exterior lights, failing to comply with FMVSS 108.

Dealers will inspect and seal body seams and replace the control module if needed, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters were mailed Sept. 1, 2025, with additional letters expected in early 2026.

Ford: Rear Brake Hoses May Rupture

Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2016–2018 Lincoln MKX and 2015–2018 Edge vehicles. The rear brake jounce hose may rupture and leak brake fluid.

Dealers will inspect and replace the brake jounce hoses as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed Sept. 8, 2025, with a second round expected in April 2026.

Ford: Trailer Tail Lights May Fail

Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2025 Explorer and Aviator vehicles. When towing a trailer, the trailer tail lights may fail to illuminate due to a defective body control module, failing to comply with FMVSS 108.

Dealers will replace or inspect the body control module depending on vehicle mileage. Repairs will be free of charge. Interim owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Oct. 13, 2025.

Ford: Side Curtain Air Bags May Tear

Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2024–2026 Ranger vehicles. The side curtain air bags may contact B-pillar reinforcements and tear during deployment, failing to comply with FMVSS 226.

Dealers will install protective shields, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters were mailed Sept. 5, 2025, with parts expected late 2025.

Ford: Instrument Cluster May Fail at Startup

Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2025–2026 F-Series Super Duty trucks and 2025 F-150 vehicles. The instrument panel cluster may fail at startup.

Dealers will update the software or provide an over-the-air update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed Sept. 5, 2025.

Ford: Rearview Camera Image May Be Distorted

Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2015–2019 Lincoln MKC, Mustang, F-Series, Navigator, Expedition, Edge, Transit, Econoline, and Ranger vehicles. The rearview camera may display a distorted, inverted, or blank image.

Dealers will inspect and replace the rearview camera, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters are expected Sept. 22, 2025.

Ford: B-Pillar Trim May Detach

Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2016–2019 Taurus vehicles. The driver and passenger B-pillar door trim may detach while driving.

Dealers will inspect and repair or replace the trim, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters were mailed Sept. 22, 2025.

Ford: Engine Fire Risk

Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2020 Expedition and Lincoln Navigator vehicles. A short circuit in the battery junction box may cause an engine fire while driving or parked.

Owners are advised to park vehicles outside and away from structures. Dealers will inspect and replace parts as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected Sept. 25, 2025.

Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2020–2021 F-250, F-350, and F-450 vehicles. The steering column upper shaft may detach, causing loss of steering control.

Dealers will inspect and repair or replace the shaft as needed, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters are expected Oct. 6, 2025.

Ford: Fuel Pump Bolts May Be Loose

Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2024 Bronco and Ranger vehicles. The bolts securing the high-pressure fuel pump may not be properly tightened, causing a fuel leak.

Dealers will replace the fuel pump mounting bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected Sept. 2025.


Genesis: Windshield Molding May Detach

Hyundai Motor America is recalling certain 2023–2025 Genesis GV60 EVs. The stainless-steel molding at the top of the windshield may detach.

Dealers will replace the molding, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected Nov. 17, 2025.


GM: ESC Warning Light May Fail

General Motors is recalling certain 2026 Chevrolet Silverado EV and GMC Sierra EV vehicles. After a malfunction, the ESC warning light may not illuminate, failing to comply with FMVSS 126.

Dealers will update the software or provide an over-the-air update, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected Oct. 27, 2025.


GM: Incorrect Fuel Tank Installed

General Motors is recalling certain 2021 Cadillac Escalade, 2021 and 2023–2024 Chevrolet Tahoe, and 2022 and 2024 GMC Yukon diesel vehicles. An incorrect fuel tank may have been installed, risking a leak in a rollover crash.

Dealers will inspect and replace the fuel tank if needed, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected Nov. 3, 2025.


Hyundai: Charging Port Door May Detach

Hyundai Motor America is recalling certain 2023–2025 IONIQ 6 EVs. The charging port door panel may detach.

Dealers will apply adhesive to the charging port assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected Nov. 10, 2025.


Hyundai: Engine Connecting Rod Bolts May Be Loose

Hyundai Motor America is recalling certain 2025–2026 Tucson and Santa Fe vehicles. The connecting rod bolts in the engine may have been improperly tightened, which can result in loss of drive power, engine damage, or an oil leak.

Dealers will replace the engine, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected Oct. 24, 2025.


Hyundai: Rear Suspension Bolts May Be Loose

Hyundai Motor America is recalling certain 2025 IONIQ 5 EVs. Rear suspension alignment bolts may have been improperly tightened, causing loss of stability control.

Dealers will replace the bolts, align the wheels, and replace tires if needed, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected Nov. 10, 2025.


Hyundai: Seat Belts May Fail to Latch

Hyundai Motor America is recalling certain 2020–2025 Palisade vehicles. The seat belt buckles in the driver, passenger, and second-row window seats may fail to latch.

Dealers will inspect and replace the seat belt buckles as needed, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected Nov. 10, 2025.


Jeep: Incorrect Cross Beam

Chrysler is recalling certain 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S vehicles. The vehicles are equipped with an incorrect cross car beam, failing to comply with FMVSS 208.

Dealers will replace the cross beam, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected Oct. 24, 2025.


Jeep: Quarter Trim May Detach

Chrysler is recalling certain 2022–2024 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer vehicles. The quarter trim on the driver and passenger windows may not have been properly secured.

The remedy is under development. Interim owner notification letters are expected Nov. 14, 2025.


Jeep Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer: Door Trim May Detach

Chrysler is recalling certain 2022–2025 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer vehicles. The door trim may not have been installed correctly and can detach.

Dealers will inspect and replace the trim as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected Oct. 31, 2025.


Jeep Grand Cherokee PHEV: Power Loss Risk

Chrysler is recalling certain 2022–2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee PHEV vehicles. A software error in the hybrid control processor may result in loss of drive power.

Dealers will update the software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected Oct. 23, 2025.

John Deere: Rollover Protective Structure May Detach

Deere & Company is recalling certain 2022–2025 John Deere Gator utility vehicles. The rollover protective structure (ROPS) may not have been properly torqued and could detach in a rollover.

Dealers will inspect and tighten or replace fasteners, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Oct. 18, 2025.


Kia: Engine Connecting Rod Bolts May Be Loose

Kia America is recalling certain 2025 K4 and Sorento vehicles. The connecting rod bolts in the engine may have been improperly tightened, which can cause a loss of drive power.

Dealers will replace the sub-engine assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 12, 2025.

Kubota: Steering Shaft May Fail

Kubota Tractor Corporation is recalling certain 2023–2025 RTV-XG850 utility vehicles. The steering column shaft may separate from the steering gear, resulting in a loss of steering control.

Dealers will inspect and repair the steering shaft as needed, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Oct. 12, 2025.


Mazda: Fuel Gauge May Be Inaccurate

Mazda North American Operations is recalling certain 2024–2025 CX-90 and 2025 CX-70 MHEV vehicles. The fuel gauge may display an inaccurate reading.

Dealers will update the body control module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are scheduled to be mailed Nov. 1, 2025.


Midwest Fire: Hose Reel Mounting Plate May Crack

Midwest Fire Equipment & Repair Company is recalling certain 2021–2025 All-Poly Series fire trucks. The hose reel mounting plate may crack, causing the hose reel to detach.

Dealers will reinforce the hose reel mounting plate, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed Sept. 26, 2025.


Polestar: Hood Wing Bumper May Detach

Polestar Automotive USA is recalling certain 2025 Polestar 3 vehicles. The hood wing front bumper may be missing bolts, allowing the bumper to detach.

Dealers will inspect the hood wing bumper for missing screws and replace the bumper and screws if needed, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Oct. 20, 2025.


Ram: Side Curtain Air Bags May Rupture

Chrysler is recalling certain 2018 Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 trucks. The side curtain air bag inflators may rupture.

Dealers will replace the side curtain air bags as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected Oct. 9, 2025.


Rivian: Ground Connection May Cause Power Loss

Rivian Automotive is recalling certain 2025 R1S and R1T vehicles. An improperly grounded connection in the high-voltage distribution box may cause loss of drive power.

Dealers will inspect and repair the ground strap or replace the high-voltage battery pack, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Oct. 3, 2025.


Rivian: Hands-Free Highway Assist May Fail

Rivian Automotive is recalling certain 2025 R1S and R1T vehicles. The Hands-Free Highway Assist software may fail to correctly identify lead vehicles.

Rivian has released an over-the-air software update, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected Nov. 4, 2025.


Spartan Fire: Door Latch May Fail

Spartan Fire is recalling certain 2023–2026 Gladiator, Metrostar, FC-94, KME Panther, and 2024–2025 Predator vehicles. The actuator lever arm in the door latch may bind, preventing doors from opening.

Dealers will inspect and replace the latches as needed, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected Oct. 6, 2025.

Terex: Platform Control System May Malfunction

Terex South Dakota is recalling certain 2023–2025 aerial devices. A defect in the platform control system software may cause unintended movement of the boom.

Dealers will update the control system software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Oct. 22, 2025.


Toyota/Lexus: Instrument Panel May Fail

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing is recalling certain 2023–2025 Toyota and Lexus vehicles, including Venza, RAV4, Highlander, Crown, Camry, 4Runner, Tacoma, GR Corolla, and Lexus TX, LS, and RX. Instrument panel software errors may cause failure to display vehicle speed or warning lights.

Dealers will update the instrument panel software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected Oct. 27, 2025.


Toyota/Lexus/Subaru: HVAC Failure May Impair Visibility

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing is recalling certain 2023–2025 Toyota bZ4X, Lexus RZ, and Subaru Solterra vehicles. HVAC system faults may disable the defroster and defogger.

Dealers will update HVAC software and inspect the compressor, replacing if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected Oct. 20, 2025.


Volvo: Seat Belt Retractors May Fail

Volvo Car USA is recalling certain 2026 XC90, XC60, V90CC, and V60CC MHEV vehicles. The torsion bar in the front seat belt retractors may have been damaged.

Dealers will replace both front seat belt retractors, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected Oct. 30, 2025.


VinFast: ADAS May Cause Steering Issues

VinFast Auto is recalling certain 2023–2025 VF8 vehicles. The ADAS may activate during wide turns, causing unexpected steering wheel movement.

Dealers will update the ADAS software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected Oct. 24, 2025.
