Fleetio announced the expansion of its Maintenance Shop Network into Canada, giving Canadian fleets access to vetted repair partners for the first time. The move aims to address challenges fleets face with coordinating repairs, accessing reliable vendors, and capturing consistent data to reduce downtime.
Features for Canadian Fleets
Through the network, fleets gain access to real-time repair tracking, automated approvals, and streamlined payments. The expansion also provides Canadian original equipment manufacturers and maintenance providers with new opportunities to connect with fleet customers.
“Without Fleetio, I’d need to hire two or three more people just to handle data entry for our 1,500 vehicles,” said Keith Eddings, fleet manager at 3S Services. “I process 20,000–25,000 line items a week. The Maintenance Shop Network makes it easier to review repairs, reject unnecessary work, and track service history.”
Key Benefits Highlighted
Efficient Third-Party Repairs: Fleets saved an average of 17 minutes per transaction through automated approvals and faster scheduling. Routine work can be auto-approved, while larger repairs can be flagged for review.
Trusted Shop Coverage: The U.S. and Canadian network includes thousands of verified repair shops, ranging from national chains to local providers.
Smarter Cost Controls: Centralized service and spend history help fleets manage budgets and cut costs by rejecting unnecessary work.
Data Accuracy and Visibility: Detailed records of labor, parts, vendors, and line items provide accurate operating expense reporting and better forecasting.
Integration with Auto Integrate
Earlier this year, Fleetio acquired Auto Integrate, a maintenance authorization platform that allows repair shops to submit repair orders electronically. This capability will be integrated into Fleetio’s Maintenance Shop Network to help reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency.
Industry Impact
“Expanding Fleetio’s Maintenance Shop Network into Canada meets a growing demand across the industry,” said Miles Rand, director of product management, Marketplace at Fleetio. “This expansion gives Canadian fleets better visibility around approvals and cost controls, helping reduce unwanted spending.”
The company says the expansion will improve fleet repair efficiency and strengthen infrastructure for essential fleet operations across Canada.
