The Virginia State Police has added S650‑generation Ford Mustang GTs to the fleet, with state troopers set to use them throughout the Commonwealth.
Outfitted with the Coyote V8 engine, VSP initially introduced the Mustang at a March event at the Martinsville Speedway.
VS Police announced the addition of the pony cars on social media, stating that the vehicles would soon be seen on roadways.

The Ford Mustang GT isn't new to police fleets, with the vehicles having recently been added to patrols in South Carolina and Florida, among other locations.
