Zero Motorcycles has increased the range and added anti-lock (ABS) braking, tire and suspension upgrades to its 2015 lineup of electric motorcycles. Several law enforcement agencies in northern California have purchased Zero cycles.

Zero is offering four fleet motorcycles for the 2015 model year, including the Zero SP, Zero DSP, Zero MMX, and Zero FXP. The Zero FXP is a new model for police fleets as a more nimble, faster and lower cost option.

By using new battery cells, Zero has increased the range of its motorcycles by 10%, which equates to about 10 additional miles, according to a release. The cycles now offer a range of 185 miles in the city and 94 miles on the highway at 70 mph or 115 miles at 55 mph.

All Zero motorcycles come with a choice of the ZF9.4 or ZF12.5 power pack. The company adds the "P" nomenclature to signify that it's a police model.

Pricing for the vehicles has been set at $13,345 and $15,345 for the Zero S and Zero DS; $17,345 for the Zero SR with ZF12.4 power pack; and $9,845 and $12,340 for the Zero FX. The Z-Force Power Tank retails for $2,495.
