Here’s an interesting tidbit of information for you big government spenders. On June 1, 2010 the national debt stood at 13 trillion dollars. That number increased to 14 trillion dollars on Dec 31, 2010. Putting that time frame into perspective, it calculates out to be: 5,136 hours or 308,160 minutes or 18,489,600 seconds. Now let’s do some easy division…and poof… that equates to a whopping $54,084.00 every second! That’s fifty four thousand dollars added to the national debt each and every second of those seven months.
Do you high spending liberals (and yes, some so-called conservatives) get it yet? You are going to bankrupt this nation! I believe that (sooner rather than later) our country will default on its debt payment. At the rate of increase on the national debt, it’s only a matter of time. And when that moment occurs, be prepared for massive inflation with prices of fuel and foreign goods (especially from China) to skyrocket in price as our Dollar devalues to level of Monopoly money.
Why will all this happen? It’s simple…once China realizes that the money they have been lending us all these years will not get paid back when promised (or even at all) they will stop buying our debt. Once that happens, our government will no longer be able to spend those fifty four thousand dollars per second. So for all those federal workers and people whose incomes are derived from stimulus money, be prepared for long term unemployment. Grants, federal funding offsets, and subsidies to the states and businesses will also come to a screeching halt.
I know I sound like a doomsayer, but the rank amateurs that are currently ruining (yes, I said ruining not running) our country don’t have a clue about the impending monetary turmoil that is about to occur. Maybe they know it and want it to happen, so the government can come to our rescue and place us all in a grand socialist state. Oh wouldn’t that be wonderful, especially for the people who believe (because they are alive) that the government has a responsibility to take care of them from cradle to grave. Those people are what I call, the parasite class of our society.
