RIVERSIDE, CA - The City of Riverside, Calif., has contracted to upgrade to the browser-based version of FleetFocus from AssetWorks, the company announced today. AssetWorks is a provider of fleet management software and automated fuel management systems.

The City has used FleetFocus, integrated with FuelFocus, for nearly ten years. Prompted by the desire to increase the service to their internal customers, the City decided to deploy the latest browser-based version of FleetFocus, which has significant technological and functional enhancements. The upgrade can help the City achieve following goals:

  • Allow all Riverside City department users access to their department vehicle information via a user-friendly, browser-based system.

  • Increase data accessibility for customers in formats they can use without spending time configuring and converting data.

"FleetFocus has been a valuable tool for our fleet for nearly a decade. It is easy-to-use for our technicians and provides the detailed information that our management team uses to help guide our decisions," stated Martin Bowman, fleet operations manager. "By upgrading to the latest version of the software, we are looking forward to increasing the access for all our city departments."

Through the browser-based functionality of FleetFocus, the City of Riverside can grant specific access to different employees and internal city departments. This means they can share relevant reports and access to the fleet data with the people who need it most. This increased accessibility and transparency can help managers make better decisions through facts, according to AssetWorks.

The upgrade enables Riverside to take advantage of several FleetFocus optional modules, including:

  • Accident Tracking - Tracks detailed information about accidents and incidents, and tracks all subsequent maintenance activities required.

  • Dashboards - Presents fleet information and key performance indicators (KPIs) in easy-to-understand graphical formats including charts and gauges.

  • Notifications - Automatically sends email and SMS notifications to users based on user-defined parameters and scenarios.

  • Performance Measures & Monitors - Tracks maintenance trends by location and/or asset type.
