During dynamics testing, the BMW R 1250 RT-P had the fastest average lap, at 1:36:95. The second fastest was the Yamaha FJR1300P-AB, which averaged 1:38:06.

The BMW R 1250 also beat out other models in the braking test, with a projected stopping distance from 60 mph of 127.3 feet. This was followed by the BMW F 850, with 131.8 feet.

The Yamaha FJR1300 had the fastest 0-60 mph and 0-100 mph times of 3.67 and 8.19 seconds. The second fastest was the BMW R 1250, with 3.88 and 8.84 seconds. The Yamaha also had the highest top speed, at 147 mph, followed by the BMW R 1250, with 137 mph.

The MSP has been testing police vehicles annually since the 1950s, and it recommends that public agencies apply the information to the needs of their departments. Preliminary results for vehicle testing can be viewed here. The final results are not yet available.
