SAN DIEGO - Networkfleet announced Dec. 16 the availability of new online State Mileage Reports to simplify fuel tax reporting required by commercial fleets. Fleet managers can now log on to Networkfleet's online fleet management system and generate reports showing the number of miles traveled for each vehicle by state.

Fuel tax reports are required under the International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA), an agreement among states and Canadian provinces for the reporting of fuel used by motor carriers operating in more than one jurisdiction. Under IFTA, fleets must file quarterly fuel tax reports, which requires them to document dates of travel and total miles traveled in each state or province.

By combining GPS fleet tracking with patented remote engine diagnostics, Networkfleet's wireless fleet management system continually monitors precise information for each vehicle. The new State Mileage Reports provide the distance traveled in each state, including toll and non-toll distance, and dates of entry and exit. This saves time for fleet managers who previously collected this information manually.

"The new State Mileage Reports are just another example of how Networkfleet listens to customers and provides them with the information they need to make their job easier," said Keith Schneider, president and CEO of Networkfleet. "We are committed to continually improving our products and services to maximize the efficiency and productivity of our customers' fleet operations."
