PORTLAND, OR - Metro, an elected regional government in Portland, Ore., that manages a fleet of approximately 100 light and medium duty trucks, passenger cars, equipment, and vans, has signed a contract to deploy AssetWorks fully integrated fleet management software FleetFocus, according to a release from the company.

Managing over 13,000 acres of natural areas and serving a population of over 1.5 million residents in the Greater Portland area, Metro is responsible for regional growth management, transportation, environmental management, operation of the Oregon Zoo, regional parks, and natural area acquisition.

Metro sought a comprehensive fleet maintenance management solution that would automate the tracking, periodic maintenance/warranty maintenance, checkout of pool vehicles, budget expense tracking by vehicle and by user group, allotment of replacement costs for vehicles and equipment depreciation for their fleet, according to the release.
